[PCR-1000] Damaged front end?

My PCR1000 is very deaf.  Powerful signals can make it through.  I 
checked the current EEPROM values against the published averages and 
they look pretty good.  I'm suspecting a front end problem.  I'm going 
to get it on a signal generator asap and measure then sensitivy across 
various bands.  Where might I start looking for problems?  Also who does 
good repairs on these that don't cost an arm and a leg?  How much might 
I be looking at?  Thanks,
