[PCR-1000] Production hold?

Yesterday i got the information from Icom Germany that the PCR1000 is on
production hold. Anybody any more detailed information?

I have been looking at the specifications on PROBE1K but ain't impressed
- Is it just another scanbank-manager ? OK, it might be great if you
like to fiddle with scanning bank settings on your 486-PC and are happy
with the way old scanners work.

It might be faster, but i have not seen the major benefits from TalkPCR
ported - please correct me if i am wrong.
- No recording utility/ rec to file with time and freq info
- Does not use VoiceSquelch (VSC)
- Does not store volume level on each channel
- Does not store squelch level on each channel
- No demo version availabe
