[PCR-1000] Re: PCR-1000 digest, Vol 1 #334 - 2 msgs

my apologies for sending the info twice -- my error.  having used PROBE 
with great success for another receiver, (Optocom) i felt that news and 
info about this new PCR-1000 version was both on-topic and of interest many 
on the list.  those who it did not interest could choose not to read it.

there is a specific reason i posted the text describing this new program 
from the developers website: it runs under DOS.  people on this list may be 
surprised to know that some people still use DOS computers, and limit their 
internet usage to text-only email (while i have windows computers, i also 
have a DOS machine and sometimes use it for email.)

my post was especially for those people on the list, since the're likely to 
have a high interest in a DOS application for the PCR-1000.  simply posting 
a URL for the website where that text was copied from would not be of use 
to those people.

sorry if anyone was offended by the info.  i have no affiliation with the 
developer of PROBE other than being a very satisfied customer.  at the risk 
of offending the same people, i'll mention that i paid the introductory 
price of $15 for PROBE1K, which will run in a DOS window on any computer 
running Windows.

p.s. - if Max is concerned about wasting bandwidth, i suggest he compares 
the number of bytes in my post with downloading the html from the website 
it was copied from.   oftentimes plain text is a superior medium, and PROBE 
is a good example of that.
