[PCR-1000] Has anyone disassembled the Stock antenna?

Thanks Frank...

I am Boom mounting one of the little Alinco 350mw handhelds to an "Arrow" 
concept, handheld 5 element 437 mhz beam for reception of UO-14 and other 
sats.

The Alinco is so small that the attempt to attach any heavier coax would 
require drilling a hole precluding the use of it's original swing rubber 
duckie. I saw this coax the other day and it already had a nice BNC on the 
end so I figured I would try it...it's only a 1 foot run anyway so what the 
heck...I just didn't want to chop off a foot without some "reinforcement" 
from others.

I figured I could always use it for a mobile "adjusatable" 1/4 wave whip for 
my 3 watt handi on 2 or 440....well...here come the wire sidecutters...
