[PCR-1000] NEED PCR1000BUR

This dosen't sound like the typical "lost eprom" symptoms.
Do you have the DSP installed?
I ran into the same problem. Scanning stopped after a couple minutes
regardless of the software used. When the radio was working scanning was
fine. I noticed that I could start restart scanning if I tapped the PCRs
case.
Opening it up and then unconnecting and reconnecting the DSP fixed the
problem.
