It will run off a car battery ...make up a fused power lead, proper polarity 
and all, and run it from a 13.6v battery...see if your EMI goes away...if 
not, look elsewhere....

There have not been too many complaints about the STOCK power supply...my 
monitor, computer, and my quartz halogen torchiere give me fits...
