SV: [PCR-1000] good full coverage antenna

That antenna doesn=B4t exist, no matter what the advertisements say.
I saw for some time ago that the specs for the usual discone (8+8
elements)
was streched to 100Kc-2000Mc, what will they come up with next??
A discone antenna can (at the best) cover one octave with
reasonable low SWR, but as a broad band receiver antenna
it=B4s quite good anyhow. An active antenna such as ARA 2000 is also OK
as a broadband receiver antenna, and if you want a directional
antenna a log periodic antenna is the right thing.
But non if theese is comparable with a single band (or frequency)
tuned antenna, theese will always give the best results.

does anybody know a good antenna i can build for full coverage 25Mhz up
to 1300mhz? or a good site that explains how to build one? Thanks Matty
