[PCR-1000] good full coverage antenna

  It comes unassembled in a plastic bag.  It would fit into a box a
  meter or so long, and maybe 5cm x 12cm.

  Radio Shack has this antenna on their website (under scanners).  I'm
  not sure if they ship outside of the US or not, however.
