[PCR-1000] Corrupt EEPROM

Hi all,

I have the classic symptoms of a corrupted EEPROM, cause not known, to the
best of my knowledge I have not tried any third party software. The RX works OK
except that the Band Scope is very insensitive.

It's been back to ICOM UK, but they missed it, though, fair play, they made
no charge, not even carraige.

I have taken a copy of the EEPROM, as is, and compared the figures with John
Mc. Dermon's list but, to my great surprise, all my figures fall well inside
the range of values he gives.

So, what's my next move? I could send it back to ICOM again but, since I have
now used third party software to extract the EEPROM values, I can no longer
claim to be an innocent victim and it's going to cost .

I am quite willing to try new values, if someone could please indicate which
values to change and WHICH ONES TO LEAVE ALONE.

Alternatively, since this is an old topic, can some-one point me to a
previous discussion ? (I have checked back tp Jan. 2003 and am now starting on 2002).

73 (best wishes) and thanks, Heath.
