Hello,

  some  time  ago I was surfing the net looking for active antennas projects and
  found  an interesting one in the LWCA website http://www.lwca.org/, but tonite
  I'm  unable  to  connect to their server (we have a thunderstorm here, HI!) so
  I can't check if it is still there.
  
  Anyway,  I can give the article's title, "Another Approach to Active Antennas"
  by  Dick  Rollema,  PA�SE and an excerpt: <<In a test the [active] antenna was
  not damaged by sparks jumping to the probe from a car ignition coil.>>

  Lightning  apart,  it  could  be  an interesting active-protective antenna for
  those PCR1K out there in the storm.
