Hi all,

I picked up a few ZAPTRAPS (made by a firm called Strike technologies) - us=
ed for protecting computers on a LAN (I think). These are little boxes with=
a BNC connector on each end and a green earthing strap. Just for fun, I pl=
aced one between my antenna and Rx - no noticeable drop in sensitivity up t=
o 30 MHz. What's your collective wisdom on using something like this to pro=
tect the PCR1000 front end from static ? I can't identify all the parts in =
the thing.

Just a thought before our Summer storms begin - Bryce
