  A caution to users of programs that 'talk' in any way to the PCR: be
very sure you've backed up your EEPROM and know how to restore it. The PCR
radios are sensitive to data-stream glitches and can be rendered useless
in a millisecond - and it's a long expensive trip back to totally
uncaring, unsympathetic Icom to have your receiver put right again. I'm
not sure about the later serial numbered units, but some of the firmware
is specific to the alignment of each individual radio, so copying someone
else's data may result in poor performance.
