Hi Bill,
Have you made any changes in your Windows COM Port settings or changed
your serial cable? TrunkPcr and my other programs communicate with the PCR
the same way as Icom's or TalkPCR.
There isn't any changes made to the PCR itself.. i.e. the EEprom...

The method I use to keep communications active with the radio is by sending
the command "H1?" every second. This command requests the the status of the
PCR to determine weither the power is
turned on and communications are ok.

I have a few serial cables that act differently from each other.
On one 'bad' cable, I can disable this "KeepAlive" action and the radio
never turns off.
On another cable, I think the CTS line was broken/intermittent and this
caused the radio
to turn off after 15-20 seconds with the "KeepAlive" turned off...

However even with the 2nd cable having a problem, as long as I have the
"KeepAlive" on,
the PCR will stay on... The "KeepAlive" function is turned on by default in
my programs.

Hope this helps,
Jay
