[PCR-1000] Marine Suitability

I'm considering the PCR-1000 as a marine scanner for
(in order of importance)

1 Navtext
2 WEFAX
3 Marine/Ham SSB Nets in the pacific
4 Weather Satellite reception

1-3 look promising but I have concerns about IF
bandwidth on 4. Any thoughts? SW recommendations?
