[PCR-1000] talkpcr on pcr-100

I have just recently acquired a PCR1000, and I am very happy with it. I
must admit that the conditional use of third party software, and the
omnipresent threat of corrupting the firmware led me to believe that I
may have not made a good choice in a radio. I purchased Scan Star
Spectrum Explorer, and since there is a run on UT-106 DSP modules, (
which I have not installed yet, due to vaporware status ) I have taken a
keen interest in BR-universal-filt by Bernd Reiser. I am completely
happy with the performance of the implemented DSP for this software. I
also use TalkPCR on occasion, but I really like the GUI of Scan Star.
TalkPCR has some unique, more in depth features that I enjoy tweaking
around. Had I known at the time that TalkPCR was available, I would
have questioned my purchase of Scan Star ( approx 180.00US ) and Signal
Intelligence does not even offer any documentation of functionality. A
lesson learned.

I would like to hear from others on similar experiences, and I am
curious to know from the experienced the ' tips and tricks ' of both the
Scan Star and TalkPCR fundamentals.

I use TalkPCR for my PCR-1000 and my PCR-100.
