Craig, what's your antenna setup for this? Been wanting to look at this
but building the antennas I have found on the net always looks like a
lot of work for what is possibly a passing curiosity.

Appreciate your comment

Graham

Subject: [PCR-1000] WXtrack + Sattune

For those interested in using their 1k's for weather sat work there are
some interesting programs called Wxtrack and Sattune. Sattune is a
method of entering satellite passes and frequencies to the 1k for
unattended recording of weather pix. To get the passes and the freq data
in the correct sequence it is recomended that you use the facilities
provided by the satellite tracking program Wxtrack. The site is
www.satsignal.net. When you download the program you also have to
download two libraries and a registry program. There are links to the
Sattune program. When you have the Wxtrack program running you can enter
the birds that you are interested in and create a passlist for the
period required. This is then loaded via Sattune
into the 1k and you go to sleep. The author is getting 80-160mb of
weather pix a day! Both programs are Careware!
