[PCR-1000] Win XP and Icom Software

Don,

Since I didn't have the Icom software installed in the first place, and 
did a clean install of XP after losing my upgraded version, from the 
upgrade disc...I too have gotten all three programs to work.  Icom's by 
removing the toolbar.  I don't use that too much because of the lack of 
NR reduction manipulation.  I don't feel like fooling with an .ini file 
every time I want to change the noise reduction level.  As far as 
Scancat Gold goes....the timing in XP throws it off a bit.  I do some 
beta testing and I have a newer beta that does a better job at 
activating and scanning the PCR-1000 than the release version.  I don't 
know if this will be released or not, but it works a little better for 
me.  It's still under refinement at the moment.  Don't quote me on that! 
hehehe.  I like it, but there are no other changes than some timing 
values.  No cosmetic or operational changes.  With the DSP in, the 
timing programs showed up.  The Scancat Gold software worked fine for me 
before I installed my DSP.  I went through 2 DS:P units before I 
realized it wasn't the DSP itself, but some of the software.
