Its not from tinkering ony. I personally know two people with PCR radios less then 1 yr old and both have lost the EEPROM settings, one was mine. both of us were using talkPCR not to say that is what caused it. I had mine backed up and reloaded settings, my friend had to ship his back to ICOM and they fixed it for free. steve
