[PCR-1000] General comments - just found this site

I own more scanners / radios  than I care to think about....

I picked up a PCR-1000 with DSP as  my new computer no  longer has a ISA
bus... land of PCI and AGP....so my WinRadio WR1000i (ISA)  no longer
had a purpose after two years and  sitting in a box

And of course I bought the PCR-1000 to work on my computers (Win2000 and
WIN XP) at christmas time 'cause got to spend a little of the end of the
year money on myself...

And of course the unit crashed on both my laptop and my PC....

So it has been looking pretty on my work desk until today when I had
some free time to continue the issue

And I'm happy that I found this group as the unit is plugging away on
both the stock ICOM software and the beta TalkPCR 2.885 eval using WIN
XP.

And I'm working on through a  Belkin  USB to serial port as my new lappy
does not come with a serial port, needs the docking station - Sony
GR-250P or this route. The ToolBar option for ICOm software and 2.885
for PCRTalk seem to do the trick -

Now to see what else I can set up and read more of the archives ---
