Dave - I posted this a while back and it seemed to help a few other list
members -

The recent thread concerning problems running the Icom supplied PCR1000
software under Windows XP prompted me to install it and give it another
try. I'm wondering if this is the error people are seeing - APPLICATION
ERROR - PCR1000 caused a General Protection Fault in module OLE2DISP.DLL
at 0001:0B20?

If so, I may have a quick workaround for you. The problem (for me at
least) seems to be related to whether or not the tool bar is selected to
be displayed. Since it is on by default, there is no way to shut it off
within the program by using the Option menu. If you open up the
PCR1000.ini file with a text editor, edit the line in the [COMMON]
section (or add it if it's not there) so that it reads TOOLBARSHOW=0 and
save the file, you should be able to launch the program without error.
This resolved the issue for me. Keep in mind that if you then try to
re-enable the toolbar with the Option menu choice, you see that the
program fails again - I can live without the toolbar!

Hope this helps,
Mark
