Please note that in some areas plastic pipe can be utilized in your plumbing 
system...prior to any grounding location...a simple example is : If you have 
one of those Plastic whole house cartridge water filters installed in your 
main feed, and it wasn't installed with a grounding strap around it....your 
cold water system may not be grounded...your electrical boxes are supposed to 
be grounded...either by grounding rod or direct connection to waterpipe 
ground...a quick resistance or voltage check between the electrical box and 
your waterpipe "ground" will show any differential to be wary of..
