[PCR-1000] Wireless Network...

I have a 802.11b wireless card in my Inspiron 8100 laptop that I use to
control both my Ft-847 via CAT and my PCR-1000. Basically, I find that
normal receiving is pretty much unaffected by the wireless card except that
it generates a bit of noise in the AF sound card input because the card is
placed directly above the sound card input. I put a "whatchamacallit" RF
choke on the audio input cable near the laptop end and almost all the noise
disappeared. I generally run with the wireless card in place without any
problems. When I do get a problem, it takes all of 15 seconds to disable
the card and pop it out.
