[PCR-1000] Bandscope anomaly?

Hi Cory,

I tuned around on my -1000, including in the AM aero bands where you are.
My unit, s/n 03960, does not exhibit this problem on any mode, at varying
freqs, and varying filter widths,

I think I saw another post from a -1000 owner who has the same problem.
Might be an alignment problem in the pass circuitry wherever the bandscope
info is snagged from (one of the early IF stages ??).

A problem like this could occur only is a specific range of serial numbered
units.  This is a common problem with all high-tech manufacturers - a
problem is introduced and not discovered until a new unit is returned to the
dealer or comes into Icom for warranty repair.  By then quite a few units
have gone out the door and were sold or are sitting in dealer inventory.
For a non-critical problem like this, the manufacturer would not 'recall'
the product....

You probably need to hear from someone who has actually aligned a unit.
Alignment is not complicated IF you have the experience, the alignment
software (EX-2099? or something like that), the documentation, AND proper
test equipment including a suitable signal generator.  By now you might be
thinking of letting Icom do this ??
