[PCR-1000] A new Pcr 1000 Control Program

This is an interesting subject to me.  I am currently using a discone
also.  I have two issues with pre-amp installation, which I may ask
advise in the very near future.  Question:  is the "bleed-over" due to
the pre-amp ?  Or rather, I suspect, due to a lack of internal filtering
in the radio.  I have found these particular bands difficult ( at times
), and would grab at the nearest opportunity to play with some possible
resolutions.  As I wrote, I am interested in some suggestions regarding
pre-amps / coax figures of merit / general reception techniques with
regard to limitations in sensitivity in the case of the PCR1000 radio.

No problem.  It is of particular benefit to those using a discone
antenna
for VHF/UHF reception and a pre-amp on that discone.  There tends to be
a
bleeding of other frequencies through to that particular frequency
range,
and the filter stops that.  It was well worth the investment I made of
50us$.  It only took about a week and a half to arrive, but it was the
last
one this particular place carried..... www.flightdeck.com ....in case
