[PCR-1000] Ground Hum

Sounds like your computer is grounded to the electrical box and/or
cold water pipe, and your PCR1000 is on a ground of its own.
When this happends the 2 grounds will create a flow of electrons 
between them. Try connecting a ground wire from your cold water pipe
to your PCR1000 ground outside.
