John,

As you metnion "skins" I presume that you will be adding no additional
functionality to any GUI you create. Will you be basing such functionality
on the ICOM model or the TalkPCR model. Is this intended to merely be a
cosmeticreworking, similar to the 3 models supplied with the ICOM software.

Graet idea and add me to the list of interested users.

  A while ago on the List there was some lively discussion and interest
concerning 'skins' for the PCR-1K; replica "front panels" of classic and
military radio recievers and panoramic displays using the PCR as the
recieving engine. (I have a portion of those responses archived.)

  I would like to humbly solict the responses of those interested folks,
and any other interested parties, as to any and all input you have toward
such a project.  I and my business partner plan to take up this work in
mid-March, so I am looking for: favorite radios, modes of operation,
control surface design, and any other thoughts you might have regarding
this. We have identified what we think is the right software technology to
base this on...  so also please tell me what platform/OS/machine you'd
like to use.  We are trying to make a fairly simple and universal Box of
Tricks that will easily port to a variety of environments.

  I see that another Listmember has recently offered a hardware front
panel kit...  this is also of interest.

 I'll post this message occasionally as a reminder, or until I get
threatened.
