Please excuse me for butting in here boys and girls, and maybe I am
stupid compared to you administrators but:
It seems to me that newsgroups are for the dissemination of
information pertaining to a particular area or subject.. That, by definition calls for distribution of all info to
the entire newsgroup (ie: 'REPLY ALL OR REPLY TO GROUP)".
If I want to send a private response to a subscriber that has no place
going to the group, I can opt to manually change the settings for that
particular message so that the rest of the group is not bothered.
Otherwise, it should be posted to the group in order to spread the
knowledge of the group to those stupid people like me.
Am I missing something here? Isn't that the way it is supposed to
work?
