[PCR-1000] Looking to Buy a IC-PCR1000

I run mine on Win'95.

XP:  A number of previous posters on this list HAVE used their PCR1Ks on XP.
It does require you to disable the toolbar BEFORE you start the Icom app:
In the file named: Pcr100.ini file,
change:
  TOOLBARSHOW=1
-to-
   TOOLBARSHOW=0

This disables the apps toolbar, but all of it's functions are available on
the pulldown menus.

There have been a handful of users who, despite doing this, were still
unable to run the Icom app.  The TalkPCR app has been reported to run OK on
XP - it's $45 (and appears to be well worth it for the spectrum analyzer
alone) and can be downloaded (fully functional demo) to check it out from:
