[PCR-1000] Looking to Buy a IC-PCR1000

I have been looking for sometime to buy a PC based scanner.
At last I have chosen the PCR1000... Why i hear you asking! well the honest answer is I dont know (but I still need to convince the mrs!!)

I would like to but dont know if its possible be able to receiver SSTV, Satilite images etc as well as be able to decode digital communications etc.

I am hoping that in this list you will have a wealth of information on the PCR1000 and reccomendations of software etc that I can use with it  (Windows 2k or XP based).

I can find the item for sale in Maplin but I am SURE thats not the best price.. Any suggestions there as well??
