Hmmmmm.....

Didn't the Icom PCR-100 PRECEDE the PCR-1000 ?

The -100 is no longer sold, apparently eclipsed by the -1000.

I just looked at Icom's manual for the -100 (on their web site) and it
clearly supports Win'98. However, the later -1000 only supports
Win 3.1 and Win'95.

The only anomaly I've heard of in trying to use O/Ss later than Win'95
has been the need to disable the toolbar on XP (disable in the .ini file).
A number of users on this list have noted having no other problems
on XP. I've had my -1000 on '95, '98, and NT. It would seem that
Icom could easily expand the O/S list by just testing the units on later
O/Ss.
-----------------------
The manuals on Icom's site reflect only the latest version of each unit. My
older -1000 had two speaker ports (speaker and packet) while the latest
versions appear to have only one port - and you're asked to open the unit
to set the output level for speaker (HI) or Headset/Soundcard Line-In (LOW).
---------------------
Some of the manuals don't appear to download - clicking on them only
returns you to the manual list. However, I was able to download by
Right-Clicking on the link and selecting 'Save Target As'.
