[PCR-1000] Win XP and Icom Software

I'm currently using Talk Pcr ver 2.4 on Xp pro with no problems, 

but I'm interested to see you referring to Talk PCR Version 2.8 Beta.
Where can 2.8 be found?

Serial 02019 bought in Canada in 2002 - (Yes, from a dealer!)  It was
sitting on a back shelf and obviously of little interest to anyone but
me. (The dealer does commercial VHF and cell phones.)  Any lower numbers
out there?  Who has the highest? BTB - works with the Icom software and
TalkPCR 2.8 Beta under XP.  (TalkPCR 2.4 coughed up hairballs and
actually gave a BSOD in XP!!)  Belkin serial to USB was needed to make
the Compaq laptop happy.
