the eeprom AFAIK stores alignment data, but nor channels neither frequency
settings.
There?s the prob the PCR-1000 sometimes looses the eeprom settings, mostly
when third party soft is used. ICOM doesn?t provide any information about
that problem.
My own PCR-1000 lost the settings twice, causing low sensitivity on all
frequencies.
I had an eeprom backup, provided by following program (freeware):
