In my COMPLETELY unscientific testing I have discovered my PCR-1000 is LESS
prone to front end overload than my Yaesu FRG-100 (.1 - 30 mhz) reciever.
Down in the AM broadcast band I get clobbered by a local FM radio station on
the FRG-100 and not a sound out of the PCR-1000, just a nice clean signal.
Same antenna... The WRONG antenna... It's a 2 meter cushcraft vertical for
ham radio purposes.... BUT I still thought it was interesting.
I'm very happy with it thus far (only had it for a few weeks now)
The FRG-100 is still pretty darned nice for HF reception though.
