This makes remoting the radio difficult in some instances. I have made a microphone extension for my radio and have ordered the couplers (double female) that will allow you to use a RJ-11 cord (6 conductors with male connectors on both end) to extend the microphone. I also have the crimp on RJ-11 male plugs but I do not have a supply of wire. I think I can take an 8 conductor Ethernet cable (cutting off the RJ-45 plugs). If you are interested, please let me know and give me a specific length cable. Cost of the RJ-11 plugs and jack is $3.00. I would like to find some used Ethernet cable to use. Bill
