 Members,
We here at Grand Prairie Amateur Radio Club are very proud to announce that
after much hard work, the Stuttgart repeater has been returned to "on the air
status". The repeater frequency is 147.000 - offset with a 114.8 tone. A very
special thank you to Bob Brandon, KB5LN, for his donation of this repeater to
GPARC. He is a great guy with a big heart and love of amateur radio. Also a
thank you goes out to each and every member of the club who put in weekend hours
at the repeater site to make this happen.

Our next upcoming event will be the BELSUS Echolink presentation/meeting at
Fisher Communications in DeWitt October 16 at 12:00 with special guest speaker
Daryl Stout, AE5WX. We will also hold VE testing following the presentation
starting at 2:00.

On a personal note, Randy Geater,K5NDX, is asking for help the next few
weekends on the portable antenna tower trailer project, that is underway, for
use at the special stations. There is still much work to be done to make this
thing usable. Our goal is to have the trailer present and functioning by the
World Championship Duck Calling Contest special event station held in November.

That's all we have for now. Please enjoy using your HT's on the repeater in
the Stuttgart area. 73's
