William R. ( Bill ) Caldwell
March 08, 1925 - June 24, 2005

William R. "Bill" Caldwell, 80, a resident of White Hall, died Friday, June 24,
2005, at Jefferson Regional Medical Center.
Born March 8, 1925, in Camden, he was a son of Ralph D. and Mary L. McClung
Caldwell.
Mr. Caldwell was reared and received his early education in Camden. He was a
graduate of Searcy High School. He married Vivian Hammond on July 13, 1949, in
Malvern. Mr. Caldwell worked in the engineering department of the Pine Bluff
Arsenal until his retirement in 1985. He was a member and deacon of First Baptist
Church in White Hall, a member of the National Rifle Association, and a member of
the P.B.A.R.C. (Pine Bluff Amateur Radio Club)
Mr. Caldwell was preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Vivian Hammond
Caldwell.
Survivors include one son, Billy Caldwell of White Hall; one daughter, Mary Lynn
Casteel of White Hall; three sisters, Jo Henry of Springfield, Illinois, Julia
Henry Granger of Knoxville, AR., and Dorothy Wright of Russellville; six
grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:00 AM Monday, June 27, 2005, at First Baptist Church of
White Hall with Reverend Lynn Robertson, Reverend Mike Cottrell, and Julia Granger
officiating. Burial will follow in White Hall United Methodist Church Cemetery by
Ralph Robinson & Son Funeral Directors. The visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 PM
Sunday, June 26, 2005, at Ralph Robinson & Son.
