I got this note from Dale Temple, W5RXU. Dale wrote asking for you to
support CAREN but I'm asking you to support YOUR local amateur radio club

I echo Dale's comments 100%.  

Please take the time to read the statements by both Section Manager
candidates and contact them with any specific questions, if you have any.
If you ask a question, get a response from both candidates.

Evaluate each candidate and decide who would be the best candidate for
Arkansas and for Amateur Radio.  

Most importantly, take the time to vote and have a say.

Shortly you will receive a ballot from the ARRL to elect a New Section
Manager for the Arkansas Section, if you are an ARRL member as you should
be.  For a statement from the two Candidates go to www.arkansashams.org 
 
>From the Candidates statements, you can see it is important for the future
of Ham Radio for everyone to support your local Ham Radio Club and most
important to support the ARRL, our only national voice for, of and by Ham
Radio Operators.  I respectfully request that you support the CAREN Club and
the ARRL by becoming a member of both or renewing your membership in both.
It is my opinion, that if you care anything about Ham Radio and its future,
you will join or continue your membership in both organizations.  Your
opinions and support are important.  There is fun to be had by supporting
both organizations.  There is service to Local, County, State and National
Governments, in addition to the support of the very worthy Charitable,
non-profit agencies we support with our Communications Abilities.  
 
Emergency Preparation, Planning and Practice is the life blood of Ham Radio,
indeed, the justification for our very existence.
