I have some good advice.  Call FEMA (1800.621.3362) and register.  My friend
from the parish who is staying with me in Lafayette did this. FEMA has
purchased empty apartments in BR(and in other cities I assume) for those
affected by the storm.  Get you and your family on a waiting list for
housing.  Also, by registering you can possibly qualify for $, food, and
supplies pending on your situation.
