HELLO, ONE AND ALL,
Well, we won't have as many political ads to watch, but now we probably get
to listen to a discussion of voter fraud. Oh, well.
Anyway, what I'm contacting you about is the Special Event station that will
be held November 13 and 14, 2004. It's a ham radio commemoration of the
opening of the Clinton Library. We're going to be set up in the parking lot
of the Historic Arkansas Museum (it once was known as the Territorial
Restoration) at 3rd & Cumberland. We'll have 2 stations - HF and 2 M. Hrs:
Saturday -- 0900 - 2200 hrs. Sunday -- 0700 to 1600 hrs. CST. You may have
read about it in QST or World Radio or heard about it from someone else.
Dennis, John Woolem (an asst. SEC in this area) and me (an asst. SEC in this
area) have been the committee for setting this up. John has arranged for a
GREAT certificate. I've coordinated equip., etc. and now I'm contacting you
guys for OPERATORS. Or people to log if they don't feel comfortable
operating. I'm really trying to get folks from the entire central Ark area.
Can you forward this email or tell your
club(s) or tell me who to contact so I can tell them? I've got a few
operators for Saturday.
Thanks for all your assistance.!!
