	CUSEC Exercise July 25
We are planning for ONLY the 8 Primary CUSEC states, TN, MS, AR, IL,
IN, KY, MO and AL, to be involved and for each to coordinate this activity
within their own state.
Purpose: to establish communication links from strategic stations
within your state to neighboring states and practice using the NTS for
Informational Messages.

For our next CUSEC activity I am suggesting the following:
Each state is to establish a primary station and 2 or three other stations
in different geographical locations with in their state. Each station is to
contact a neighboring state, two if possible, and sent the infromation
regarding contacts and
frequencies to your primary station. The primary station
then would compile the information and send one report to me.

We are interested in where stations in your state are
located, what states they
contacted, and what frequency they used to do so. One of
your three (or four depending on your state's geography) is to be the
primary station to which all information about the exercise is sent. I
should receive one report from each state.
For example: I am planning to establish a station in
west, middle and east Tennesee. Each Tennessee station will try to make
contact with two neighboring states in their area. In West Tennessee,
because of our close proximity to ARK and MS, we will use 2 meters for our
contacts. We will also, in the near future, try a similar exercise locally
using simplex only.
Prior to our exercise, I am contacting EMA in neighboring
counties in ARK and MS as well as alerting ham operators in both states.

Send a report to me via the NTS or
on the Monday night NTS/ TN ARES Net,
7 pm on 3980 MHZ, USB.
Please use a radiogram, if possible.

It is to be sent to Barbara Abrams, KE4BUU
		                           5484 Mason Rd.
