Got this note from Busby...... How many folks in this area have a 60M radio?



As of August 8 the FCC will no longer issue Emergency Communications
Declarations (ECD) for HF Bands. They will issue ECDs for the 60 meters
Freq.s and for VHF and UHF repeaters if the repeater owner agrees. However,
we do not need them to set aside a repeater, the owner can limit use of the
repeater to ECOM during a communications emergency. I am sorry to see this
happen, but we can work around it by asking our OOs to monitor our Emergency


Communications Nets and help with the problems.
