All -

The repeater projects that we have going on are nearing completion with the following taken care of today:

1) ARC coordination forms mailed today - 2M and 6M packet forms were NOT submitted per a discussion with Kevin Manzer, State Packet Coordinator.

2) Trustee changed for the Club call, K5DAK, from K5ECJ to N5RN. 605 form mailed today. This change was at Earl's request.

Scheduled for today:

1) Move of the 70 repeater from 28th to Woodward this afternoon. Will probably require about 30 to 60 minutes down time.

As these repeater related task wind down, I want to thank every one involved for their efforts and patience. The 70 move was a stressful and unplanned event. We, as a club, pulled
together and worked through it. The 440 repeater effort seems to be well received by both those in our club and those that aren't. Maybe these types of activities will stir the
interest of those that aren't members of the PBARC to consider joining. As anyone who has been involved in these types of activities knows, there is a significant amount of money
involved in both the purchase and maintenance of these repeaters. If you are a PBARC member, thanks for belonging and please encourage others to join. If you aren't a PBARC member,
please consider joining. We need your participation.

There have been many people involved in the 440 repeater installation and 70 moves; many are behind the scenes type of people. Some of these people aren't even members of our club but
still stepped up with equipment donations. My thanks to these "silent" but important people.

In my opinion, there is one these "silent" individuals that deserves some special recognition and from me a I heartfelt thank you - Stan Johnson, N5SSE. Folks, Stan listened to the our
70/Noble Lake problems. He took the ball and ran with it. In less than a week, we had the necessary okays and permissions to get on the Woodward tower. This is not always an easy
task. Stan stayed on top of it and thanks to his efforts we will have the 70 machine in a new home with a minimum of off-the-air time. Stan, I sincerely thank you for your efforts.
Folks, if you see Stan or talk to Stan on the radio, thank him for his efforts.

I will be sending out one or two more of these updates just to let every one know that 70 is moved and that we will be ready to move on to our next tasks. Some have indicated that
these future tasks will be code and theory classes. If so, we will definitely need your help.

73,
glenn
