New Poconise News bulletin - April 2011
President's Message
Welcome to the first edition of the New Poconise News bulletin. The past
editions of the Poconise provided club members with news of what is happening in
the club. We will carry on this tradition but include Ham Radio news that is
occurring in Poconos and in the surrounding area. It will be distributed by
email to all member (current and past member) but details and specifics will be
only available only to active club members .
This news bulletin will be distributed quarterly and my hope is that we can
eventually provide it monthly.
This edition of the new Poconise will cover:
* What is new in our Clubs
* Upcoming Activities
* Activates being planned
* Members only resource section on our Website
It important that you do not sit on the sidelines. We need to show our community
that Amateur radio is important and vital. To do this your help and support is
needed to keep amateur radio alive in the Pocono Mountains. To be an active
member you do not need to attend the club meeting. It is important to help in
any of the new activities being planned and keeping you membership up-to-date.
Your active membership and support will help provide the credibility our clubs
need when we deal with our local government and other organizations. There is no
requirement to be living in the Poconos to join and be active. Each member will
kept informed via our web site and by email.
If you have any questions about the clubs or on the below items please refer to
the websites referenced below or send me an email at Mario at arvelo.net
