Preamble
Good evening and welcome to the weekly session of the SPARK VHF/UHF
Information and Swap Net.
My name is ____________________________ and my call is
__________________________. I will be net control for this session. This
is an informal but directed net and meets every Tuesday at this time. It
is brought to you through the courtesy of the Slatebelt Pocono Amateur
Repeater Club, WA3MDP and N3TXG. The Net is open to all amateurs
regardless of their club affiliation. This is a directed net and all
calls should come through Net Control. Please do not break or interrupt
unless you have emergency or priority traffic. When checking in, please
state my call
_______________________ , let the carrier drop to avert doubles, then
state your call, your name, and your location.
(PAUSE)
At this time is there anyone with emergency or priority traffic, if so,
please call Net Control, __________.
(PAUSE) Handle this traffic if any.
Are there any portables or mobiles wishing to check in, if so, please call
Net Control _________________.
(PAUSE) Handle this traffic and don't forget to ask for SWAP items.
Are there any members of SPARK or any other Amateurs wishing to join us,
if so, please call Net Control ______________.
(PAUSE) You may have to repeat the above procedure several times until
you feel that there will be no more check in's. When you are satisfied
that there are no more check in's, announce the Halftime Announcements.
Halftime Announcements Usually Glenn, N3ULW will read the announcements
but anyone can do this.
Hamfest Report Usually George, N2VWL will give the Hamfest report but
anyone can give this report.
Weather Forecast Usually John, N3TIO will give the weather report if he is
on the net.
2nd Go Round Go back up to the top of the list and ask each person for
closing comments. Do not forget to announce their Swap items if they have
any.
Closing the Net
At this time I would like to thank Dick, WA3MDP and Rick, N3TXG for
allowing us the use of the repeater for this purpose and bring to a close
this weeks session. Thanks to all who checked in. The total check in's
for this session are, ______________. I will now return the repeaters
