I'm not sure where else one can find info on Alan's many accomplishments. I
guess the best answer might be: "Ask any ham."

He has created a dedicated server for hams all over the world, which he
maintains almost single-handedly.

He has created web hosting for any ham who asks--all free of charge.

He has created a list of e-mail reflectors (an ever growing list, I might
add) so a variety of amateur radio topics can be discussed and knowledge can
be shared.

He has created an ISP just for hams to give them CHEAP Internet access.
While other ISP's regularly raise their rates, Al has LOWERED his (and will
continue to do so).

I am not sure what it requires for a "Special Achievement" award, but there
are hundreds of thousand of hams who know that Alan Waller is the man who
took the force that is killing amateur radio---the Internet---and wedded the
two together in a way that brought amateur radio back to life and into the
21st century.

And what does he get out of all this? On the good months, he almost breaks
even.

Do you know any other hams who have sacrificed their time, sweat, and money
like this for the good of amateur radio? I don't think so.
