Nina D. Transue, 82, of Stroudsburg, died Dec. 9 in Pocono Medical Center,
East Stroudsburg. She was the wife of Ernest R. Transue, who died in 1998.

She worked for the former Ronson Corp., Delaware Water Gap, for 20 years
before retiring.

Born in East Stroudsburg, she was a daughter of the late Levi and Elizabeth
(Ace) Hineline.

She was involved with the Stroudsburg Little League and the Stroudsburg
Varsity S and was recognized and inducted into the Stroudsburg High School
Hall of Fame.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles 1106 auxiliary,
Stroudsburg, and the Pocono Amateur Radio Club.

Survivors: Daughters, Pat VanWhy of Lancaster, Carol Widmer of Miami, Fla.,
Doris Aumiller of Palm Beach, Fla., Dolores Maloney of Riverton, N.J.; sons,
Harlan Tucker of Dingmans Ferry, Fred Tucker of Brockport, N.Y.; brother,
Harlan of East Stroudsburg; sister, Betty Staples of Hernando, Fla.; 12
grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews.

Services: 11 a.m. Friday, William H. Clark Funeral Home, 1003 Main St.,
Stroudsburg. Call 7-8:30 p.m. Thursday.

Contributions: American Cancer Society, Stroudsburg R.2, or American Heart
Association, Wilkes-Barre.
