EPA Friends,

I hope to see you at the Sept. 7th D.L.A.R.C. General Membership Meeting where an awesome Presentation is planned.

You may have met Brian Harrison, KN4R from NC who bought us the unique story of Amelia Earhart's Radios last year.

Brian will tell the story of, and demonstrate a (super rare surviving) receiver apparatus the FCC used in WWII to catch Nazi spies right here in the US as they transmitted messages back to our enemies. Even with American Amateurs patriotically observing wartime radio silence, triangulating these brief and random signals was challenging.

You don't want to miss this Special Presentation. It's called, "Patrolling the Ether: The FCC In WWII."

Talk it up on the repeater and invite friends who appreciate history, as this is not an Amateur Radio intensive program and would be enjoyed by anyone even mildly curious. (Free admission, and you do not have to be a Club Member to attend.)

See you at our spacious, air conditioned modern meeting facility; the Bethlehem Township Community Center in Bethlehem, PA at 7:30pm. Easy driving directions from I-78, Rt. 22, or PA 33 are on the website's front page at: http://www.dlarc.org/
