I had a great weekend on the air. I did have someone bitch me out on CW
because I did not sign KD8MQ/JEF when I answered his CQ.

I didn't bother to explain that I was not rover, or mobile, but PORTABLE,
and not likely to change countries anytime soon.

I know it makes it easier for the operator who is looking for PA stations
only. I'm likely being stubborn, but I resist appending anything to my
callsign. This is because someone usually logs me with the extra info (/3
or /JEF), then gripes when they can't get a confirmation for the contact
via E-QSL.

I had a good laugh, then moved on.
