I'll have an replica 1930s station setup at the far end of the
grandstand building. The plan is to be QRV on 40M as W8CDX.

The receiver is the same one I used in the 2016 PAQP, a "single-signal"
superhet from May 1934 QST. Fired it up earlier tonight and it was
badly out of alignment. After getting that resolved, sitting here
listening to various stations on 40M CW, including some EU DX.

The transmitter is a three-stage, triple deck outfit inspired from
various 1930s QST and Handbook sources. 89 ECO, 802 buffer/doubler, and
a pair of RK20s (similar to 804s). It will essentially be the rig I'll
use for PAQP this year, with modifications and improvements in the
meantime I'm sure!

Antenna will be a dipole, strung between anything I can find on site!

Anyone is welcome to come and operate the station. I'll have a bug for
keying, bring your favorite straight key if you prefer (1/4 in. mono)!
For anyone not attending the hamfest, try working us on 40M. I'll try
to post spots to the DX Cluster when QRV.
