First new class is Remote Stations. A remote station as defined by us is a station that operates as a regular station, but the operator is not located where the station is located. The Location of the station is considered to be the County or station the RF is coming from. To wit, if I were to use an internet VPN to a transmitter in Erie County while operating from my living room in Centre County, I would enter as an Erie county station. At this time, there is not a plaque involved for Remote stations until we see if enough people are participating in that manner. Second new class is County line Station. This is a Plaque Class now. Normal County Line station rules apply. __________________________ We are also adding a number of new plaques to the party. I will make the announcement on the new plaques after we get the present plaque sponsors taken care of. Since some of the Plaques have been split into two, we?re coordinating with the present sponsors to see which of the two they are interested in. I?m hoping to get that settled this week. At that time, a call will go out to the reflector for additional sponsors for the new classes. __________________________ Finally, We have opened a Facebook Group for the PAQSO Party. If you are interested in getting news and info and pix from there in addition to the Reflector, sign up. The name not surprisingly is Pennsylvania QSO Party. -73 de Mike N3LI - From mcoslo at comcast.net Mon Sep 5 12:11:13 2016 From: mcoslo at comcast.net (Michael Coslo) Date: Mon, 5 Sep 2016 12:11:13 -0400 Subject: [PaQSO] New Plaque listings post 1 Message-ID: Good day all, Okay, We're going to have several new plaques this year. Inspired by the new County Line Plaque, the growing W3CG group (WA3A is joining AA2AD, and N3KZI) is planning to position ourselves at the four-county intersection of Elk, Forest, McKean, and Warren. For now, these will be daylight operations only on 40 meters - 440 MHz phone, with 20 to 100 Watts (battery power), on both Saturday and Sunday. We are planning stops in NUM and SCH, and we see a need for LYC, but have not found an acceptable location, as yet. We would like to hit at least two counties, each day. We will consider any other counties, by request.
